To have the highest number
of wins at the end of three games of Bunco.
Bunco terms:
Bunco: A three-of-a-kind
of a number that corresponds to the round (three "1's"
in Round One, three "2's" in Round Two,...). A
Bunco immediately ends the round and scores 21 points.
Mini Bunco: A
three-of-a-kind of a number other than the one being
played for in the round (three "2's" in Round 1, three
"5's" in Round 6,...). A Mini Bunco is worth five
points.
To Play:
Set up tables to
accommodate 4 players per table. People sitting
opposite each other are a team for that round. Once
the bell is rung by the head table, take turns rolling
the dice for that round. Keep a running point tally
on the team wheel until someone either gets Bunco, or
a head table team gets to 21.
After a Bunco or 21 points
has been achieved, each team marks their score card
with a win or loss for that round. The two winning
players at the head table remain, and the losing team
rotates to table three. The winning team from
table three moves to table two. The winning team from
table two moves to the head table. (One of the
players who remains at each of the tables must shift
to a vacant chair in order to create new teams for the
next round.)
Play continues in this
manner until three rounds of six have been completed.
Prizes are awarded to the
following at the end:
The person with the most
wins.
The person with the most
Buncos.
The person with the most
losses.
In the event that there is
a tie for any of the categories, have a "roll off"
where the highest total of the three rolled dice (add
together) wins.
In the event that there is
an odd number of players on game night, a "ghost" can
be in the empty seat with the "ghost's" opposite
partner rolling two times each rotation instead of
once.
